The Fit Kits from Easycare Down Under are designed to help you achieve a great fit with your new Glove or Glue-On boots. 

The fit kit helps you determine if a slightly smaller or larger shell will work better with the individual shape of your horse's hoof capsule. They are not designed to make it possible for horses with unusual measurements to fit into the Glove.

Some professional hoof care providers will have in stock fit kits for all sizes so they can do "on the spot" fittings for you.  Professional Hoof Care providers are listed at left in the side menu.  Also listed are Specialist Boot Consultants who can also fit the easycare range for you.  Maybe get a few of your friends together and have a "boot fitting day"!

If you order a fit kit when you receive the Kit please do not apply these shells with any form of glue and do not ride your horse in only the shells. If you walk your horse around please keep to the grass so as not to damage the soles of the shells. Remember they are not meant to be used without the gaiters or glue so please no "test" riding!

Please return them in the clean state in which you received them. Deposits will not be refunded if the shells are dirty or damaged.

Whats in the Kit:

The fit kit you receive will probably contain three Glove/Glue-On shells. A shell the same size as your measurements, a shell one size below the measurements and a shell one size above your measurements. This makes it possible to fine tune your fit exactly.

If your horse falls at the bottom or top of the measuring scale, you will only receive two shells as there are no larger or smaller sizes available yet.

How to use the kit:

Follow the fitting instructions that come with the kit and fit all three shells. See the instructions for assessing good fit & poor fit demonstrated lower on this page, and assess which shell is the one most suited to your horses hoof capsule form.

The difference between the shells is only four millimetres, that of approx. two coins as shown at left. This small difference between the sizes of the shells ensures a really snug fit as these boots, more than any other yet released, require a very snug fit. 

They do not have a fastening system other than the gaiter or glue so there is no allowance to draw in the top of the boot hence the need for perfect fit up the hoof walls as well as on the sole.  There is more information about fitting the glove on our Glove Boot sizing page.

When you try the shells remember these boots have to be very snug and therefore are quite tight to fit over the hoof. Remember read the instruction on how to fit them using the correct technique makes quite a difference.

 Before you sign up for a Fit Kit please ensure:

1.   You have measured your horse's hooves directly after a fresh trim and measured the hoof according to our fitting and sizing chart for The Glove boot.  If you want a printable pdf copy of the chart please click here.

2.   That these measurements already fall into the sizing for a Glove Boot on the Fitting Chart. If not consider another boot style.  If you find they are close but not perfect call our Hoof Boot consultant to discuss your options 02 6493 6955.

3.   You must return the fit kit to Easycare Down Under within seven days of receipt of the kit. 

There are only limited numbers of kits available at this time and many others are waiting for them after you. Please assist us be returning the kit in the postage paid envelope provided as soon as you can. Failure to return the kit may mean you forfeit your deposit.

 How to order your Fit Kit: 

You will be able to order through our online shop by placing a deposit of $60.00 through paypal on our online shop. Of if you wish you can contact our office on 02 6493 6955 during business hours and pay directly by credit card.  This deposit will be refunded less postage & handling of $24.00 on return of the kit.

The Fit Kit will be sent to you by Express Post and will include a prepaid Express Post pack to return the shells to us.

Please email or phone us before you pay your deposit to register your horse's size as the kits are made up individually to suit your horse.  email  easycaredownunder@bigpond.com   Ph 02 6493 6955 during business hours. 

If you do not wish to use paypal to lodge your deposit we can take your credit card details over the phone or make other arrangements with you.  Please contact us if you would prefer to order this way.  If you are unsure of your horse's sizing in relation to the Glove boot our consultants can help you too.
